Eliot Spitzer gets caught with a hooker and he’s demonized and drummed out of office. Ted Kennedy drives a car with an unconscious girl into the water to suffocate her to death but he’s somehow the Lion of the Senate for 40 more years. Why are we not begging Spitzer for forgiveness on how he was treated when he did something between two consenting adults that didn’t end in a woman’s death?
Because people didn’t like Spitzer.
