Already, the spirited competition has sparked some high-level trash talking. I would hope that Obama wouldn’t go to Copenhagen unless he already knew the result. This is a pretty fundamental rule. When Clinton went to North Korea he knew that he would leave with American citizens in tow. The only way it makes sense for Obama to travel to Copenhagen is if it’s a done deal.
