I hate to say it but…
I wish the KMart at Astor Place was a WalMart. Sure WalMart is evil, but they do a better job of serving the customer than KMart ever will. KMart has put zero thought into the location, it’s just a transplant of the same crap you’d find at any other KMart. When I went to the closest WalMart to Burning Man they had turned the whole store upside down making sure they had everything we needed. That’s just for a single event.
Every time I go to the KMart I leave sad and empty handed. I need a fucking coffee grinder. I should be able to go buy it somewhere, I shouldn’t have to order it from the fucking internet. So now I have to do that, go to Sur La Table and buy the most expensive coffee grinder on planet Earth, or go on some epic quest across the expanses of Manhattan.
KMart why can’t you stock things people want? WalMart would. This is why you’re losing.
Here, here. And try Crate & Barrel.
