Over to you, Bob Somerby. Nate Silver runs a great website and completely deserves all of the success and fame he has gotten in recent months. But even he doesn’t seem to understand how media narratives have developed in recent years. Who was challenging Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, Tim Russert, and the reporting teams at The New York Times and Washington Post during their two-year war against Gore? When they branded the same John McCain a saint in 2000?
