I wanted one. Then I read David Pogue’s review. I now don’t want one. Whew!Great review. I’ve said before that wanting an iPhone phone and settling for something else will leave you very disappointed until you actually end up getting an iPhone.
Hello? Isn’t the thumb keyboard the defining feature of a BlackBerry? A BlackBerry without a keyboard is like an iPod without a scroll wheel. A Prius with terrible mileage. Cracker Jack without a prize inside.
Such a good point. I don’t understand why companies compromise their basic values, their basic brand attributes, to chase after others. Yahoo! and Microsoft chase after Google’s search domination. RIM chases after Apple’s consumer phone. Et cetera. Why don’t companies make their own luck? Stick with their brands? Stick with what makes them special? There is now nothing that makes Yahoo! special (until they rediscover their true value) and nothing that makes RIM special (ditto). Who thought this was a good idea?
