This sucks, but in many ways it’s a good thing. I know that sounds counterintuitive. Layoffs allow companies to operate more efficiently, trim unnecessary fat and move forward in a better way… as long as the layoffs are handled well.
The newly unemployed will retool and find new work. There will be some pain and suffering for a short period of time, but we’ll all be better off in the long run.
