I hate to say it, but there were times in Detroit when I wished — just for a moment — that I had a concealed weapon. Those feelings weren’t justified. Evan and I ended up walking to a wonderful Cuban restaurant on Monday night and having one of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time. Still: $150 for a concealed carry permit? Shot on the road from Detroit to Dearborn.
